Esker Fax On Demand
This past fall we upgraded all our customer's Fax Server software to VsiFax version 6.0 as part of your CSSP and maintenance. With this latest version there are a few enhancements that you might find useful.
Esker's Fax on Demand (FOD) service is a link between VSI-FAX and the Esker multi-channel e-document delivery solution. This Internet connection allows your VSI-FAX server to automatically fax business documents from your AutoPower application without the need for a phone line or modem. Cost to use this service is 10 cents per page. If you have low volume faxing from within the AutoPower application, then FOD may lower your operating costs and need for an outbound fax line.
If using a modem with your fax server and a failure takes place with the modem, the ability to rollover to the Fax on Demand service allows you to continue sending faxes. Additionally, the peak demand feature that performs automatic overflow to the Fax on Demand portal when the pending queue is backed up with outbound documents beyond a pre-determined amount of time might better handle fax peaks and faxing delays. This automatic roll over would better expedite the sending of faxes for statements and invoices that are sent out as part of your month end process. Again, the cost for using the Fax on Demand portal is 10 cents per page.
If you have VSI-FAX server installed on your system and you are on maintenance, then you are licensed to use these additional features. You will be required to execute a contract with AutoPower Corporation and Esker for use of the FOD service. AutoPower Corporation would bill you for page usage monthly.
