Ashton Barnabei, owner of All States Automotive of Watertown, SD. purchased an AutoPower System in early 2003. Ashton`s decision was based on two key factors: the flexibility of the AutoPower software and the willingness of AutoPower`s management to tailor the software to fit All States Automotive`s specific requirements.
Nine years ago, All States was using a major competitor's canned program. Soon realizing a "canned" system's limitations, Ashton hired a contract programmer and moved All States to a custom developed system. Last year, recognizing the speed of technology and the ever-increasing customer demands, Ashton purchased the AutoPower System. "AutoPower has allowed us to utilize, TODAY, the futuristic enhancements we were previously developing for tomorrow!"
Like many other fast growing WD`s, All States` accounting software had played second fiddle to inventory control and sales. But, with business revenues doubling within seven years, timely cash flow management became more critical. The real-time integration of Purchasing to Accounts Payable and to General Ledger was a major benefit of AutoPower.
AutoPower, using Microsoft`s Windows 2000 operating system, allowed All States to give their remote sales persons direct access to the system via the Internet. It also permitted switching from using preprinted invoices and statements to using laser printers. This change enabled All States to not only save a lot of money on forms and printers, but also allowed them to customize the form`s format with information to suit customer demands.
