Big ROI Realized with Web-Based PO Commerce System
THE PROBLEM:
IWDLink has many members that are behind the electronic efficiency curve. Their only means of sending a Purchase Order to IWDLink** (see footnote below) was to fax and order to the IWD staff for manual entry into the system. This member inefficiency was a big manpower issue for the IWD marketing organization.
THE SOLUTION:
AutoPower`s Internet Division ~ eICEPower developed and launched a real-time Internet solution for the Independent Warehouse Distributor buying group Truck Pride and Auto Pride members called www.IWDlink.com.
IWDLink now has the capability for all IWD members to submit their purchase orders to participating manufacturers directly via the PO Web site at www.iwdlink.com. Accessing the PO Web site via the Internet provides the flexibility for automating the PO submission to IWD.
Using secured access methods, they are able to use a PC to enter their purchase order. Each PO entered provides them with options for selecting the Ship-to branch locations, method of shipment including `special order` notification, manufacturer, special notes, as well as entry of the PO Number. All part numbers and quantities entered will be validated for accuracy. Therefore, each PO submitted is complete and accurate for efficient processing and electronic transmission to the manufacturer. Additionally, any PO submitted has a PO Confirmation report either faxed or emailed to the member.
POs can be entered and placed on `Hold` temporarily. These `hold` purchase orders can be recalled, their parts listed and edited. Once complete, the PO can be submitted for processing.
Also, any PO that has been submitted will be archived in a members PO History file for up to 30 days. These POs can be reviewed, recalled and their parts listed.

**Two years ago Truck Pride, an IWD marketing organization based out of New Haven, CT, selected AutoPower Corporation to design and build and electronic commerce hub for their members.
